It’s grand finale night and the Queens of the Ring will be crowned at tonight’s extravaganza in Winter Haven. The crowd is treated to highlights from each of the previous eighteen matches that make up the previous eliminations that end with the final two remaining teams.
Not only will tonight’s winner come out of the tourney with the QOR tiaras for the rest of the year but a buttload of momentum one could certainly surmise would mean a title shot in the not too distant future.
As spotlights flitter through the darkened arena, the picture of G-Thang appears on the FAWNtron and highlights from each of their victories play out. Gabby Mendoza’s decision to throw Rose Evans overboard for Ginnifer Chadwick seems to have gone perfectly to plan as the duo stick it to all the contenders they eliminated. Spicy Matzah was taken to task in their initial battle, Gabby pinning Marisa Fuentes to move the Thang forward to the Elite Eight.
The highlights switch, the Gs surviving a back-and-forth battle with the Beach Bombers, Ginnifer forcing Babe Babcock to surrender while trapped in the Gorgeous Lock.
And in the semis, G-Thang took down the hottest and most popular team going, putting their stamp on the passport to the big one with a win over America’s Sweethearts, Chadwick forcing a capitulation from Skylar Mitchell with the Gorgeous Lock, the second-generation superstar unable to take any more and handing over the trip to the finals with her urgent tapping.
The crowd’s grumbles turn to roaring applause as the leggy wonders replace the first set of finalists on the tron. The long lower limbs of blonde and brunette are featured in abundance as Leggs, Inc. take out the Rough Riders in their initial skirmish, Mariel besting Bareback Beth with her devastating GamChanger to push the Incorporated pair to the quarters.
There are fewer high points to show in the next reel as the Sisters of Mercy controlled much of the next round and a white-leather-clad interloper is noticeably absent in the package. McGinty and Stipanovic move to Final Four when the slender blonde Amazon puts the finishing touch on Manners, namely another Gamchanger that leaves Nurse Kristin sedated for the pinfall.
The reel moves to Leggs, Inc.’s penultimate test, a ferocious battle against the Empresses, the highlights showing the team’s qualifications as slight favorites in tonight’s contest, Legs and Stems pushing past the highly regarded opponents in Saad and Singh when Valerie forces a submission from Alia with the figure-eight leglock.
As the lights come up with both teams in the ring, the women bouncing through some remaining nervous energy, the FAWNatics rattle the rafters with an enormous ‘YOU DESERVE IT’ chant directed at both sets of combatants. Even G-Thang recognizes the appreciation and each team acknowledges the crowd, though Gabby does so with a large, pink bubble.
As the teams confer in their corners, it’s G-Thang making their leadoff hitter known first and, with this match being for all the marbles, Gabby high-fives The Gorgeous One and steps out to center stage to start the festivities.
Likewise, the presumed leader of the Incorporation makes it clear she’ll begin the show for Leggs, Inc., Mariel McGinty using her long strides to the reach the middle as Valerie folds and unfolds through the ropes to take her standby spot.
Mendoza’s bubble-blowing bravado is evident even as McGinty, with six inches on her foe, towers over the Latina. The bell brings the final match to order and Gabby pops her sugary sphere, drawing the gum between her ruby lips, a smirk remaining. The Terrible Texan circles around the slender amazon from Slippery Rock, dipping and reaching for a leg.
From the outside, Ginnifer instructs her partner when Mariel seems ready to load one of her weapons for a kick to the cranium. After a full circle and no positive results, Mendoza rises out of her crouch and dares the Incorporated blonde to come to her instead. The offer prompts a surge from the blonde and Mendoza responds in kind, snatching Mariel’s right leg at the ankle when McGinty hokey-pokeys her leg in too far.
Gabby pulls the limb toward her, extending it from a hopping McGinty. Mendoza sends a couple nasty boots to the hamstring of the long lower limb, then deftly ducks a long-range enziguri from Mariel. After coming up empty, McGinty manages to land on the stem she used for the kick, but she’s completely off balance. The Latina trips and rides the blonde to the canvas.
With McGinty’s chest to the canvas and Gabby on her back, the blonde’s reach advantage neutralized, Mariel struggles to escape from underneath. However, the Babyfaced Killer snakes her arms under and around those of McGinty, fingers lacing and latching in a full nelson. Mendoza tugs Mariel to her side, slipping her foe into a cinching scissors of the blonde’s expansive midriff. Tawny legs press into the alabaster sides of Legs, Gabby rolling to a seat behind Mariel. Mendoza leans back, drawing McGinty off the canvas, then thrusts her pelvis up, forward and down, keester bouncing Mariel to the canvas, spiking her foe’s tailbone into the mat.
Chadwick nods at the look of pain on the near six-footer’s face and motions for Mendoza to repeat the process. Gabby hauls her bigger foe back once more and STICKS her rival’s coccyx into the deck like a lawn dart, a shockwave moving up and down McGinty’s spine.
Later…
After peppering Mariel with hit-and-run tactics that have the towering blonde dizzied, Gabby is topside, standing on the top ropes in a corner, back to the interior of the ring. Glancing over her shoulder, blowing a trademark pink sphere, Mendoza waits for McGinty to reach vertical. Seeing the Amazon turn toward her, Gabby launches from her perch in a backflipping leap.

The Latina gracefully moonsaults toward the wide-eyed blonde, but instead of flattening Mariel to the canvas, McGinty shows how dangerous she can be. Shifting to the right, she catches the descending Mendoza on that shoulder and is barely budged from her stance.
Turning, Mariel charges toward dead center and tries to make the term literal, running into a powerslam of Gabby, threatening to put the raven-haired grappler through the canvas.

The lovely Latina shoves a shoulder up, avoiding an early finals exit. The glassy-eyed Gabby rolls to her side and gives her noggin a rattle to clear some cobwebs.
Later…
The powerslam having put her on the back foot, Gabby’s eaten a couple nasty kicks as Mariel is bringing out her arsenal to assure a queenly moniker. Wobbling next to the confident blonde, Gabby is sent for the ride with a long-limbed Irish whip. The Babyfaced Killer sprints to the opposite cables at full speed and rebounds toward the striding McGinty who raises and extends her right leg and nearly decapitates Mendoza with her signature Big Boot.

Gabby’s legs and torso get the message a split-second after her head, tawny body flying out in front of the Texan’s bruised noggin, the back of her skull clunking against the canvas a split-second later. Even the FAWNatics offer a sympathetic groan in response to the force with which Gabby is waylaid.
It doesn’t get any better for the Latina when Mariel heads for the cables to the spread-eagled Gabby’s side. She u-turns to her target and leaps in a lethal leg drop, her right gam landing like a guillotine across Mendoza’s throat. Gabby sputters and spasms before failing still. Again, it’s a half-tick away from the crowns for Leggs, Inc. Apparently concerned she won’t get her name in the record book for having participated, Valerie shouts to her partner and extends an arm. Mariel nods and scrapes Mendoza off the mat, leading her foe to the Incorporated corner for a tag.
Not Much Later…
After making Stipanovic legal, McGinty loiters after Val’s entry, the incorporated duo having shown throughout the tourney a willingness to push the envelope in terms of double-teaming. But when it’s against the unscrupulous, devious Mendoza, the FAWNatics and apparently the referee provide some leeway. As the Gorgeous One complains from her corner, Valerie and Mariel send the battered bubble-blower on her way with a double whip.
The leggy duo wait until Gabby turns into the ropes and rebounds before surging toward her. They lift inner arms and lock them together in a double-clothesline meant to remove Gabby from her remaining consciousness, but Mendoza ducks under and sprints on to the next set of strands. Blonde and brunette skid to a stop, turn and ready for a second try.
Gabby leaps into the middle cable, grabbing the top. She launches in a spinning springboard splash across the bodies of the lanky, leggy twosome and the folly becomes instantly obvious, Mariel and Valerie easily catching the now squirming Mendoza across their chests.
McGinty and Stipanovic glance toward each other with a grin then lay out, PLASTERING Gabby to the canvas with a ring-rattling double fallaway slam that forces Gabby’s gum to rocket from between her lips like a pink, sugary missile. She slops to her chest and begins crawling toward an intense Ginnifer while the ref finally applies a count to Mariel, which she dutifully and tardily observes. Valerie snatches an ankle of Mendoza with Gabby still a couple feet from an escape and drags her back to the middle.

Gabby, still matbound, is on her back, legs raised and under the control of the Incorporated brunette. Val takes a moment to consider while the Latina pleads for mercy. But this is the Queens of the Ring final and the LA native shows none. She drops to her knees, forcing Gabby’s more abbreviated legs wide with a wishbone.

Mendoza howls in pain, grasping at her groin. But Valerie isn’t done. She snakes her arms around the left leg of Miss Thang, stretching it wide then scissors her lethal stems around the right, pushing it in the opposite direction. Soon Gabby is in a forced set of splits, yanking at her own ebony locks to spread the pain from her crotch as Valerie threatens to tear her foe up the middle.
The ref asks Mendoza if she wants to cede the match and the royal designation. She yelps incoherently in return and Val forces her foe’s limb to a single file, Gabby howling, her palm hovering over the canvas.
It’s all Chadwick can take. She slips through the ropes and drives a boot into Stems’ temple to break up the submission. As Val cradles her head and Mendoza curls into a fetal ball, a furious McGinty rushes into the confines, lifting a Big Boot for the gorgeous features of Ginnifer.
Chadwick drops and sweeps her legs through McGinty’s planted pin, dropping the blonde to the canvas. Gin Blossom plucks the left leg of the face-down Mariel and leans into a single-leg Boston Crab, falling into a bridge with the limb in her possession and forcing pained howls from her fellow illegal entrant.

With order and Incorporated control restored, a doubled and gasping Gabby is mid-ring with Valerie closing, after bouncing off the cables. Stipanovic drops to a set of splits in front of Mendoza for her SplitSlap.

But when the swing comes, Mendoza intercepts it at the wrist and falls backward, scissoring the arm and dropping into a cross armbreaker. She tries to administer full payback on the pounding she’s been taking, writhing with the limb in her possession, trying to hyperextend the arm as a panicky Val tries to link the fingers of her captured arm with her free one.

The Babyfaced Killer has Valerie sobbing in agony and McGinty going from supremely confident to frantic on the sidelines. She starts to step through when Stipaniovic, gets her knees beneath her and rolls Gabby onto her shoulders. But she doesn’t want the pinfall attempt. Instead the lanky brunette starts to pull Mendoza off the canvas, apparently going for an outrageous powerbomb.
But halfway up, an incredulous Gabby flips the script. Releasing her submission turned disadvantage, the dangerous Texan drops to her boot leather and uses the remaining grip on her foe’s arm to nimbly float over and around the stooped Stipanovic. She wraps Valerie’s noggin in a front facelock when reaching the other side and absolutely PLANTS the crown of Stems’ skull into the deck with a DDT.

Valerie shoves Mendoza off forcefully as she sits up, sending the Latina to her feet. Undeterred, Gabby NAILS Valerie with a knee to the forehead to return the Angeleno to horizontal then heads for the hand of her fresh and focused partner.
Later…
Both women are on their feet, but Valerie’s turned from the Gorgeous One and she pays for it when Chadwick throws a chop block into the back of Val’s left knee. Stipanovic ends on the throbbing joint, jaw clenched in pain.
Ginnifer grabs a wrist of the rising brunette and spins so Valerie’s own left arm is draped across her throat. With the chokehold in place, Gin Blossom, having circled behind her lanky foe, lays out and drops Stems with the Gorgeous Garrote.

As the stunned Stipanovic slops to her chest, the pouty-lipped Miss Thang passes on the pin. Instead, she moves to a stance at her rival’s legs, facing away from her foe’s head, a leg posted within the endless gams of her opponent. Using her foe’s weapons against her, Ginnifer knots the long lower limbs of her dark-haired adversary around her leg and she lays out, intensifying the pressure of her Indian Deathlock.

She rises and drops in quick succession, determined to take the wheels of the LA native and leave the leg-dependent grappler next to helpless. Finally, Ginnifer leans back on the trapped Val and seizes her rival’s arms, locking them tightly behind her foe’s back in an embrace, Valerie completely stuck in the torturous stretch.
Chadiwck demands the mewling, moaning brunette hand over the keys to the Queens’ castle but Val won’t relent. The Gorgeous One releases and unknots her way from the submission only to turn and grab the wrists of Stipanovic, lifting her foe’s head and torso off the canvas.Ginnifer places her right boot behind the head of the fearful Valerie, Stems’ dark eyes wide, and CURBSTOMPS Val’s face into the thinly-sheathed plywood.

With Gin Blossom in control, a recovering Gabby is chomping at the bit and a new piece of gum to get back on the battlefield. The pouty-lipped blonde draws Valerie on all fours to the G-Thang corner by her dark flowing locks. Chadwick figuratively hands over the reins with a slap of Gabby’s hand.
While Mendoza heads for the top buckle instead of entering, the Gorgeous One pulls Stipanovic to her feet and lifts her like a leggy babe in her arms. Dropping to one knee, Ginnifer drives that knee into the long lean brunette’s vertebrae. Chadwick presses down on either side to attack the Incorporated brunette’s spinal column with her backbreaker while her partner takes to the skies.
The Babyfaced Killer, with legs extended, shows her much shorter numbers can still do the job. The left leg lands across Val’s exposed neck like a guillotine, the drop flipping the Angeleno from her backbreaking position and leaving her on the canvas chest-first, choking and grasping at her throat.

With Ginnifer having been escorted out, Gabby takes her match control out for a spin, using her speed and nastiness to punish the junior member of Leggs, Inc. With Valerie center stage and stooped from a toe kick, Gabby, mid-bubble, races to the ropes at the near six-footer’s side and rebounds in for an attack.
Grasping Valerie around the head as she flips past, Mendoza RIPS Stipanovic to the deck with a corkscrew neckbreaker, working both of her foe’s already aching body parts; her neck and back.

…when Val shoves out from under with effort to spare, Mendoza launched to her haunches. Gabby hops up the rest of the way and hits the cables, coming back at full speed and decking the rising Valerie with a high knee between the eyes.

The Babyfaced Killer takes to the heights, scaling a neutral corner and facing the splattered Stipanovic. Not wasting time, the Terrible Texan launches from her perch. She soars toward her target, crunching into a tight tuck before spreading wide like a flying squirrel.
No blown bubble can keep Gabby from descending and she drops HARD across Valerie’s long, tanned tummy, destroying her foe’s abs with a superior frog splash. Mendoza hits with enough momentum, she bounces a couple feet off her crash pad but soon settles across the gutted LA native, Mendoza dropping her frame tight to Val’s shuddering body for the…

Val sneaks a shoulder up with the third slap no more than a few inches from contact. A redfaced, glistening Gabby turns to the official, spewing some Spanish invectives that cause a few fans to earmuff their younger counterparts.
Not At All Later…
As Mendoza lets the expletives fly around chomps on her pink wad, she turns the man away from the aching Angeleno. As she does, Gin Blossom sneaks in the ring and strides assertively toward the downed brunette. Chadwick tugs the reeling Valerie up, inserting her foe’s head between her legs. Whether Ginnifer could get Stipanovic up for the Sultry Bomb will remain a mystery as another illegal entrant makes herself known, Mariel landing her beloved Big Boot into the chin of the Gorgeous One, scraping the would-be Queen of the Ring off her partner.
Chadwick loses her scissors and drunkenly stumbles away, taking a header to the canvas after a few steps.
Hearing the thump of the deck, Gabby knows her teammate’s completed the takedown on Valerie and Stipanovic is ready for the ultimate exit courtesy a ‘Bursting Your Bubble’ finish.
As the Latina finishes her argument with the ref, giving Ginnifer time to clear the ring, she hears a loud slap. Confused, she tarries a further couple seconds with the zebra. While she does, McGinty rolls Val to the edge of the apron and spins to sprint to a turning Mendoza, NAILING her with a Spinning Crescent Kick that sends Gabby’s pink chaw out into the front row.

Mendoza pirouettes from the force of the kick, ending crosseyed and dropping to her haunches, head slumped, arms limp at her sides, swaying but staying semi-vertical.
Having heard the tag if not seen it, the ref acknowledges everything’s kosher and he motions the match to continue. He overlooks the splayed, face down Chadwick several steps away and the groaning Valerie, threatening to tip to the floor. After all. This was FAWN.

The fresh and feisty McGinty watches the wobbly Mendoza for a moment, perhaps making sure she wouldn’t timber to the side. After surmising she’s stable enough, the slender, blonde Amazon cartwheels toward her foe. When next to Mendoza she tips, her long, lean stems falling either side of Gabby’s braincase. They clamp tight in a head scissors and she rattles her foe’s noggin as Gabby fitfully and fruitlessly tries to pry her way free.
Throwing her body into a barrel roll to the right, McGinty lands on her less than well-padded behind, but the Latina’s skull is spiked into the thinly-covered plywood. Gabby’s head snaps back from the impact and she slops to her back, knocked loopy by McGinty’s signature move.

A stubborn Mendoza gets a shoulder high enough the ref could barely slip a piece of paper under, but he holds up two fingers to the groan of the FAWNatics nonetheless.
On either side of the pin, Ginnifer and Valerie are groaning as well as they struggle back to full coherence and mobility.
Not at all later…
Mariel slaps the canvas in frustration at coming up just short of claiming the crowns. She shakes her head at the two fingers raised by the ref and backpedals away from the stirring Latina. The unsteady Gabby starts to wobble toward vertical, her head clearly remaining in a fog despite the effort to right herself. Chadwick and Stipanovic slowly push to their feet, the smaller blonde folding her way up first.
It’s quite the sight as one of the fighting foursome occupy the space in front of each corner. McGinty raises her index fingers, putting Mendoza directly between the goalposts, the crowd roaring to life, knowing what this means. But Ginnifer knows it as well and when the slender blonde Amazon slips into gear, all of her concentration settled on the Babyfaced Killer, the Gorgeous One sprints in from Mariel’s flank to upend the happy ending.
Unfortunately for Miss Thang, the three-dimensional chess has another player. Racing in from head-on toward Gin Blossom, the long-limbed Valerie crosses in front of her partner in the busy intersection and launches into a shotgun dropkick that LEVELS Ginnifer and sends Chadwick tumbling through a back somersault, the Gorgeous One ending splayed on her chest, senses separated from her body.

Path cleared, the Incorporated blonde, barely missing a collision with both friend and foe, travels onward into the track of the dazed Gabby. Reaching her target, McGinty leaps into Mendoza, her long right leg jammed into the Texan’s throat. The ride down is like something from a dream for Mariel has she hits EVERY BIT of her Gamchanger.

The ref leaps to his feet calling for the bell and the crowd is close behind, offering the new Queens a standing ovation. Already on her boot soles, Val jumps for joy. She rips Mariel off the demolished Mendoza, unwilling to wait to celebrate.
The lanky Amazons embrace as the ring announcer makes the end of the long trek official.
“Your winners and the 2017 QUEENS OF THE FREAKIN’ RING…MARIEL MCGINTY, VALERIE STIPANOVIC, LEGGS, INC.!”
Blonde and brunette separate so they can lift an arm of the other high, the rubble of G-Thang below them painting quite the tableaux for the new FAWN royalty.
Attendants enter with the winners’ property, the ladies-in-waiting, a couple day-contractors from the local indy scene, bring the crystal and silver tiaras on purple satin pillows.
One by one, the official collects the hardware and places it lightly on each Queen, the man sheepishly asking each to lower slightly so he can properly position the head gear.
With the tiaras properly situated, the man hands a microphone to Mariel and gives her the floor, the FAWNatics chanting “YOU DESERVE IT” to the tourney champs as she draws the stick to her lips.
“I’m not going to lie. WE DO DESERVE IT.”
The crowd roars its approval.
“But we couldn’t have done it without you. It was a hell of a trip just to get here and then to beat those women.”
Mariel motions toward G-Thang, Ginnifer and Gabby rolling out under the ropes and collapsing to the floor in heaps.
“It’s impossible to describe how we feel about proving ourselves against the incredible level of competition we’ve faced. And now that we’re Queens, there’s only one other place to go that’s higher.”

The reel moves to Leggs, Inc.’s penultimate test, a ferocious battle against the Empresses, the highlights showing the team’s qualifications as slight favorites in tonight’s contest, Legs and Stems pushing past the highly regarded opponents in Saad and Singh when Valerie forces a submission from Alia with the figure-eight leglock.
As the lights come up with both teams in the ring, the women bouncing through some remaining nervous energy, the FAWNatics rattle the rafters with an enormous ‘YOU DESERVE IT’ chant directed at both sets of combatants. Even G-Thang recognizes the appreciation and each team acknowledges the crowd, though Gabby does so with a large, pink bubble.
As the teams confer in their corners, it’s G-Thang making their leadoff hitter known first and, with this match being for all the marbles, Gabby high-fives The Gorgeous One and steps out to center stage to start the festivities.
Likewise, the presumed leader of the Incorporation makes it clear she’ll begin the show for Leggs, Inc., Mariel McGinty using her long strides to the reach the middle as Valerie folds and unfolds through the ropes to take her standby spot.
Mendoza’s bubble-blowing bravado is evident even as McGinty, with six inches on her foe, towers over the Latina. The bell brings the final match to order and Gabby pops her sugary sphere, drawing the gum between her ruby lips, a smirk remaining. The Terrible Texan circles around the slender amazon from Slippery Rock, dipping and reaching for a leg.
From the outside, Ginnifer instructs her partner when Mariel seems ready to load one of her weapons for a kick to the cranium. After a full circle and no positive results, Mendoza rises out of her crouch and dares the Incorporated blonde to come to her instead. The offer prompts a surge from the blonde and Mendoza responds in kind, snatching Mariel’s right leg at the ankle when McGinty hokey-pokeys her leg in too far.
Gabby pulls the limb toward her, extending it from a hopping McGinty. Mendoza sends a couple nasty boots to the hamstring of the long lower limb, then deftly ducks a long-range enziguri from Mariel. After coming up empty, McGinty manages to land on the stem she used for the kick, but she’s completely off balance. The Latina trips and rides the blonde to the canvas.
With McGinty’s chest to the canvas and Gabby on her back, the blonde’s reach advantage neutralized, Mariel struggles to escape from underneath. However, the Babyfaced Killer snakes her arms under and around those of McGinty, fingers lacing and latching in a full nelson. Mendoza tugs Mariel to her side, slipping her foe into a cinching scissors of the blonde’s expansive midriff. Tawny legs press into the alabaster sides of Legs, Gabby rolling to a seat behind Mariel. Mendoza leans back, drawing McGinty off the canvas, then thrusts her pelvis up, forward and down, keester bouncing Mariel to the canvas, spiking her foe’s tailbone into the mat.
Chadwick nods at the look of pain on the near six-footer’s face and motions for Mendoza to repeat the process. Gabby hauls her bigger foe back once more and STICKS her rival’s coccyx into the deck like a lawn dart, a shockwave moving up and down McGinty’s spine.

After peppering Mariel with hit-and-run tactics that have the towering blonde dizzied, Gabby is topside, standing on the top ropes in a corner, back to the interior of the ring. Glancing over her shoulder, blowing a trademark pink sphere, Mendoza waits for McGinty to reach vertical. Seeing the Amazon turn toward her, Gabby launches from her perch in a backflipping leap.

The Latina gracefully moonsaults toward the wide-eyed blonde, but instead of flattening Mariel to the canvas, McGinty shows how dangerous she can be. Shifting to the right, she catches the descending Mendoza on that shoulder and is barely budged from her stance.
Turning, Mariel charges toward dead center and tries to make the term literal, running into a powerslam of Gabby, threatening to put the raven-haired grappler through the canvas.

The lovely Latina shoves a shoulder up, avoiding an early finals exit. The glassy-eyed Gabby rolls to her side and gives her noggin a rattle to clear some cobwebs.

The powerslam having put her on the back foot, Gabby’s eaten a couple nasty kicks as Mariel is bringing out her arsenal to assure a queenly moniker. Wobbling next to the confident blonde, Gabby is sent for the ride with a long-limbed Irish whip. The Babyfaced Killer sprints to the opposite cables at full speed and rebounds toward the striding McGinty who raises and extends her right leg and nearly decapitates Mendoza with her signature Big Boot.

Gabby’s legs and torso get the message a split-second after her head, tawny body flying out in front of the Texan’s bruised noggin, the back of her skull clunking against the canvas a split-second later. Even the FAWNatics offer a sympathetic groan in response to the force with which Gabby is waylaid.
It doesn’t get any better for the Latina when Mariel heads for the cables to the spread-eagled Gabby’s side. She u-turns to her target and leaps in a lethal leg drop, her right gam landing like a guillotine across Mendoza’s throat. Gabby sputters and spasms before failing still. Again, it’s a half-tick away from the crowns for Leggs, Inc. Apparently concerned she won’t get her name in the record book for having participated, Valerie shouts to her partner and extends an arm. Mariel nods and scrapes Mendoza off the mat, leading her foe to the Incorporated corner for a tag.
Not Much Later…
After making Stipanovic legal, McGinty loiters after Val’s entry, the incorporated duo having shown throughout the tourney a willingness to push the envelope in terms of double-teaming. But when it’s against the unscrupulous, devious Mendoza, the FAWNatics and apparently the referee provide some leeway. As the Gorgeous One complains from her corner, Valerie and Mariel send the battered bubble-blower on her way with a double whip.
The leggy duo wait until Gabby turns into the ropes and rebounds before surging toward her. They lift inner arms and lock them together in a double-clothesline meant to remove Gabby from her remaining consciousness, but Mendoza ducks under and sprints on to the next set of strands. Blonde and brunette skid to a stop, turn and ready for a second try.
Gabby leaps into the middle cable, grabbing the top. She launches in a spinning springboard splash across the bodies of the lanky, leggy twosome and the folly becomes instantly obvious, Mariel and Valerie easily catching the now squirming Mendoza across their chests.
McGinty and Stipanovic glance toward each other with a grin then lay out, PLASTERING Gabby to the canvas with a ring-rattling double fallaway slam that forces Gabby’s gum to rocket from between her lips like a pink, sugary missile. She slops to her chest and begins crawling toward an intense Ginnifer while the ref finally applies a count to Mariel, which she dutifully and tardily observes. Valerie snatches an ankle of Mendoza with Gabby still a couple feet from an escape and drags her back to the middle.

Gabby, still matbound, is on her back, legs raised and under the control of the Incorporated brunette. Val takes a moment to consider while the Latina pleads for mercy. But this is the Queens of the Ring final and the LA native shows none. She drops to her knees, forcing Gabby’s more abbreviated legs wide with a wishbone.

Mendoza howls in pain, grasping at her groin. But Valerie isn’t done. She snakes her arms around the left leg of Miss Thang, stretching it wide then scissors her lethal stems around the right, pushing it in the opposite direction. Soon Gabby is in a forced set of splits, yanking at her own ebony locks to spread the pain from her crotch as Valerie threatens to tear her foe up the middle.
The ref asks Mendoza if she wants to cede the match and the royal designation. She yelps incoherently in return and Val forces her foe’s limb to a single file, Gabby howling, her palm hovering over the canvas.
It’s all Chadwick can take. She slips through the ropes and drives a boot into Stems’ temple to break up the submission. As Val cradles her head and Mendoza curls into a fetal ball, a furious McGinty rushes into the confines, lifting a Big Boot for the gorgeous features of Ginnifer.
Chadwick drops and sweeps her legs through McGinty’s planted pin, dropping the blonde to the canvas. Gin Blossom plucks the left leg of the face-down Mariel and leans into a single-leg Boston Crab, falling into a bridge with the limb in her possession and forcing pained howls from her fellow illegal entrant.

With order and Incorporated control restored, a doubled and gasping Gabby is mid-ring with Valerie closing, after bouncing off the cables. Stipanovic drops to a set of splits in front of Mendoza for her SplitSlap.

But when the swing comes, Mendoza intercepts it at the wrist and falls backward, scissoring the arm and dropping into a cross armbreaker. She tries to administer full payback on the pounding she’s been taking, writhing with the limb in her possession, trying to hyperextend the arm as a panicky Val tries to link the fingers of her captured arm with her free one.

The Babyfaced Killer has Valerie sobbing in agony and McGinty going from supremely confident to frantic on the sidelines. She starts to step through when Stipaniovic, gets her knees beneath her and rolls Gabby onto her shoulders. But she doesn’t want the pinfall attempt. Instead the lanky brunette starts to pull Mendoza off the canvas, apparently going for an outrageous powerbomb.
But halfway up, an incredulous Gabby flips the script. Releasing her submission turned disadvantage, the dangerous Texan drops to her boot leather and uses the remaining grip on her foe’s arm to nimbly float over and around the stooped Stipanovic. She wraps Valerie’s noggin in a front facelock when reaching the other side and absolutely PLANTS the crown of Stems’ skull into the deck with a DDT.

Valerie shoves Mendoza off forcefully as she sits up, sending the Latina to her feet. Undeterred, Gabby NAILS Valerie with a knee to the forehead to return the Angeleno to horizontal then heads for the hand of her fresh and focused partner.

Both women are on their feet, but Valerie’s turned from the Gorgeous One and she pays for it when Chadwick throws a chop block into the back of Val’s left knee. Stipanovic ends on the throbbing joint, jaw clenched in pain.
Ginnifer grabs a wrist of the rising brunette and spins so Valerie’s own left arm is draped across her throat. With the chokehold in place, Gin Blossom, having circled behind her lanky foe, lays out and drops Stems with the Gorgeous Garrote.

As the stunned Stipanovic slops to her chest, the pouty-lipped Miss Thang passes on the pin. Instead, she moves to a stance at her rival’s legs, facing away from her foe’s head, a leg posted within the endless gams of her opponent. Using her foe’s weapons against her, Ginnifer knots the long lower limbs of her dark-haired adversary around her leg and she lays out, intensifying the pressure of her Indian Deathlock.

She rises and drops in quick succession, determined to take the wheels of the LA native and leave the leg-dependent grappler next to helpless. Finally, Ginnifer leans back on the trapped Val and seizes her rival’s arms, locking them tightly behind her foe’s back in an embrace, Valerie completely stuck in the torturous stretch.
Chadiwck demands the mewling, moaning brunette hand over the keys to the Queens’ castle but Val won’t relent. The Gorgeous One releases and unknots her way from the submission only to turn and grab the wrists of Stipanovic, lifting her foe’s head and torso off the canvas.Ginnifer places her right boot behind the head of the fearful Valerie, Stems’ dark eyes wide, and CURBSTOMPS Val’s face into the thinly-sheathed plywood.

With Gin Blossom in control, a recovering Gabby is chomping at the bit and a new piece of gum to get back on the battlefield. The pouty-lipped blonde draws Valerie on all fours to the G-Thang corner by her dark flowing locks. Chadwick figuratively hands over the reins with a slap of Gabby’s hand.
While Mendoza heads for the top buckle instead of entering, the Gorgeous One pulls Stipanovic to her feet and lifts her like a leggy babe in her arms. Dropping to one knee, Ginnifer drives that knee into the long lean brunette’s vertebrae. Chadwick presses down on either side to attack the Incorporated brunette’s spinal column with her backbreaker while her partner takes to the skies.
The Babyfaced Killer, with legs extended, shows her much shorter numbers can still do the job. The left leg lands across Val’s exposed neck like a guillotine, the drop flipping the Angeleno from her backbreaking position and leaving her on the canvas chest-first, choking and grasping at her throat.

With Ginnifer having been escorted out, Gabby takes her match control out for a spin, using her speed and nastiness to punish the junior member of Leggs, Inc. With Valerie center stage and stooped from a toe kick, Gabby, mid-bubble, races to the ropes at the near six-footer’s side and rebounds in for an attack.
Grasping Valerie around the head as she flips past, Mendoza RIPS Stipanovic to the deck with a corkscrew neckbreaker, working both of her foe’s already aching body parts; her neck and back.

No blown bubble can keep Gabby from descending and she drops HARD across Valerie’s long, tanned tummy, destroying her foe’s abs with a superior frog splash. Mendoza hits with enough momentum, she bounces a couple feet off her crash pad but soon settles across the gutted LA native, Mendoza dropping her frame tight to Val’s shuddering body for the…

Val sneaks a shoulder up with the third slap no more than a few inches from contact. A redfaced, glistening Gabby turns to the official, spewing some Spanish invectives that cause a few fans to earmuff their younger counterparts.
Not At All Later…
As Mendoza lets the expletives fly around chomps on her pink wad, she turns the man away from the aching Angeleno. As she does, Gin Blossom sneaks in the ring and strides assertively toward the downed brunette. Chadwick tugs the reeling Valerie up, inserting her foe’s head between her legs. Whether Ginnifer could get Stipanovic up for the Sultry Bomb will remain a mystery as another illegal entrant makes herself known, Mariel landing her beloved Big Boot into the chin of the Gorgeous One, scraping the would-be Queen of the Ring off her partner.
Chadwick loses her scissors and drunkenly stumbles away, taking a header to the canvas after a few steps.
Hearing the thump of the deck, Gabby knows her teammate’s completed the takedown on Valerie and Stipanovic is ready for the ultimate exit courtesy a ‘Bursting Your Bubble’ finish.
As the Latina finishes her argument with the ref, giving Ginnifer time to clear the ring, she hears a loud slap. Confused, she tarries a further couple seconds with the zebra. While she does, McGinty rolls Val to the edge of the apron and spins to sprint to a turning Mendoza, NAILING her with a Spinning Crescent Kick that sends Gabby’s pink chaw out into the front row.

Mendoza pirouettes from the force of the kick, ending crosseyed and dropping to her haunches, head slumped, arms limp at her sides, swaying but staying semi-vertical.
Having heard the tag if not seen it, the ref acknowledges everything’s kosher and he motions the match to continue. He overlooks the splayed, face down Chadwick several steps away and the groaning Valerie, threatening to tip to the floor. After all. This was FAWN.

The fresh and feisty McGinty watches the wobbly Mendoza for a moment, perhaps making sure she wouldn’t timber to the side. After surmising she’s stable enough, the slender, blonde Amazon cartwheels toward her foe. When next to Mendoza she tips, her long, lean stems falling either side of Gabby’s braincase. They clamp tight in a head scissors and she rattles her foe’s noggin as Gabby fitfully and fruitlessly tries to pry her way free.
Throwing her body into a barrel roll to the right, McGinty lands on her less than well-padded behind, but the Latina’s skull is spiked into the thinly-covered plywood. Gabby’s head snaps back from the impact and she slops to her back, knocked loopy by McGinty’s signature move.

A stubborn Mendoza gets a shoulder high enough the ref could barely slip a piece of paper under, but he holds up two fingers to the groan of the FAWNatics nonetheless.
On either side of the pin, Ginnifer and Valerie are groaning as well as they struggle back to full coherence and mobility.
Not at all later…
Mariel slaps the canvas in frustration at coming up just short of claiming the crowns. She shakes her head at the two fingers raised by the ref and backpedals away from the stirring Latina. The unsteady Gabby starts to wobble toward vertical, her head clearly remaining in a fog despite the effort to right herself. Chadwick and Stipanovic slowly push to their feet, the smaller blonde folding her way up first.
It’s quite the sight as one of the fighting foursome occupy the space in front of each corner. McGinty raises her index fingers, putting Mendoza directly between the goalposts, the crowd roaring to life, knowing what this means. But Ginnifer knows it as well and when the slender blonde Amazon slips into gear, all of her concentration settled on the Babyfaced Killer, the Gorgeous One sprints in from Mariel’s flank to upend the happy ending.
Unfortunately for Miss Thang, the three-dimensional chess has another player. Racing in from head-on toward Gin Blossom, the long-limbed Valerie crosses in front of her partner in the busy intersection and launches into a shotgun dropkick that LEVELS Ginnifer and sends Chadwick tumbling through a back somersault, the Gorgeous One ending splayed on her chest, senses separated from her body.

Path cleared, the Incorporated blonde, barely missing a collision with both friend and foe, travels onward into the track of the dazed Gabby. Reaching her target, McGinty leaps into Mendoza, her long right leg jammed into the Texan’s throat. The ride down is like something from a dream for Mariel has she hits EVERY BIT of her Gamchanger.

The ref leaps to his feet calling for the bell and the crowd is close behind, offering the new Queens a standing ovation. Already on her boot soles, Val jumps for joy. She rips Mariel off the demolished Mendoza, unwilling to wait to celebrate.
The lanky Amazons embrace as the ring announcer makes the end of the long trek official.
“Your winners and the 2017 QUEENS OF THE FREAKIN’ RING…MARIEL MCGINTY, VALERIE STIPANOVIC, LEGGS, INC.!”
Blonde and brunette separate so they can lift an arm of the other high, the rubble of G-Thang below them painting quite the tableaux for the new FAWN royalty.
Attendants enter with the winners’ property, the ladies-in-waiting, a couple day-contractors from the local indy scene, bring the crystal and silver tiaras on purple satin pillows.
One by one, the official collects the hardware and places it lightly on each Queen, the man sheepishly asking each to lower slightly so he can properly position the head gear.
With the tiaras properly situated, the man hands a microphone to Mariel and gives her the floor, the FAWNatics chanting “YOU DESERVE IT” to the tourney champs as she draws the stick to her lips.
“I’m not going to lie. WE DO DESERVE IT.”
The crowd roars its approval.
“But we couldn’t have done it without you. It was a hell of a trip just to get here and then to beat those women.”
Mariel motions toward G-Thang, Ginnifer and Gabby rolling out under the ropes and collapsing to the floor in heaps.
“It’s impossible to describe how we feel about proving ourselves against the incredible level of competition we’ve faced. And now that we’re Queens, there’s only one other place to go that’s higher.”
McGinty hands the microphone to Valerie.
