Description:
As a child, Carol Shepard was a shy, awkward and diminutive young girl who, both socially and
physically, developed far more gradually than her peers. Inherently sweet, yet also extremely quiet,
Shepard found it difficult to make friends, fit in, or make herself get noticed, and was largely forgotten
about by the rest of her Highschool year, that is, of course, unless then wanted something.
Attending the same school as Susan Style, the petite, introverted and ever so slowly growing young
woman grew to idolise the far more outgoing, confidant, popular and beautiful Girl Next Door and,
instead of neutering feelings of resentment, instead attempted to be more like her. Her efforts were met
with limited success, and yet she grew bolder with each passing year and, as she entered her late teens,
everyone was stunned, be it her family or those who had taken joy in tormenting her, that she was
finally beginning to hit a growing spurt.
When Susan Style, by then an amateur wrestler, was betrayed and cowardly beaten by her own tag
partner, Carol was heartbroken, and yet it was as if a starting pistol had been fired for her idling
physique to finally hit puberty. Over the course of the following year, Carol began to outgrow her
clothes on a seemingly weekly basis, turning from pint size to Amazon between the ages of eighteen
and nineteen.
As she grew in stature, she also grew in confidence, and while she remained a quite, thoughtful young
woman, her opinions became significantly more forthright, passionate and backed by her inspiring
physical pressure. She worked hard, honing her persistently growing physique to a dedicated level of
fitness and, seeing a void left by the departed Susan Style, took her place in the wrestling circuit.
Across five years, Carol adopted the identity of Courage and earned a reputation as a hard working,
strong willed and utterly dedicated competitor, earning her fair share of victories and accolades. Not
only that, but as her public profile grew, she saw an opportunity to reach out and support the causes that
she believed in, and became the poster child for many an “Anti-Crime”, “Anti-Drugs” and “Pro-
Learning” campaigns.
