BACKGROUND:
Marisol Ayala did not have what one would call a happy childhood. Or, really, much of a childhood at all.
She was the youngest of seven children, born into a family that barely had the resources to support them. Neither parent was home much—their mother worked three jobs to try to make ends meet, though a fair portion of that money ended up in their father’s liquor cabinet or in various other watering holes of dubious repute. Much of the actual day-to-day responsibility of raising the family fell on her oldest brother, who did the best he could, but was hardly equipped for such a burden.
Marisol struggled in school and was a disciplinary nightmare, problems which only intensified when Ayala began puberty at a younger age—she was a C cup by age 11, leading to both ridicule and unwanted attention from the boys around her, as well as mockery and envy from her fellow girls. She would find herself at the center of a number of rumors, resulting from boys who would claim to have been involved with her (when they hadn’t) and getting in trouble with their actual girlfriends, to girls who viewed Marisol as a threat to their relationships, to girls who would start rumors about Marisol to get OTHER girls mad at her—rumors which, over the years, often escalated to fights.
By 15, Ayala had been expelled from school.
Her father, in addition to being a raging alcoholic with a gambling problem, also happened to be a massive letch. One of the seedier bars that he frequently also served as the home of an underground female fighting ring. Gustavo Ayala took one look at her blossoming, maturing daughter, and saw dollar signs. And so, he gave his daughter an ultimatum: fight, and in so doing make money for the household, or find herself put out on the street.
It really wasn’t much of a choice.
Having always been something of a hothead by nature, Marisol took to the fight game fairly quickly. And though she took her lumps in her first few outings, her looks and her spirit made her a popular choice among the regulars. And before long, Marisol began to win—and win a lot.
Also, with the closed quarters contact with other scantily clad women, her lack of interest in the boys around her began to make a lot more sense to her.
Within 4 years, Marisol had become the top draw at the club—and a major money earner for her father. Then, one night, as she was engaged in a fight, Gustavo got into a heated exchange with the backer of Marisol’s opponent—a confrontation which ended in a fatal stab wound for Gustavo. Marisol didn’t shed many tears for her father—she went home and quickly found the lock box in which he kept her winnings. She used much of those funds to purchase a one way ticket to the US mainland.
On her own in the United States, Ayala promptly established herself as a terror on the apartment house circuit. But before long, with the burgeoning populated of women’s professional wrestling, Marisol began to see that as a way to not only increase her fortunes, but also her celebrity and her influence.
As a competitor, Marisol is a ruthless and heartless individual. She enjoys being the focus of the fans, even if she holds them in utter contempt, and delights in showboating.
As arrogant as she is, as flamboyant and as flirtatious as she can be, there seems to be a perpetual anger inside her, simmering just under the surface.
Luisa Campos was born in 1994. Vincente Campos, her father--63 at the time of her birth--was an investment banker. Rita Palmeiro, her mother--23 when she delivered Luisa--was a model who, 2 years previously, had been second runner up in the Miss Universe pageant, representing Brazil.
Even before the birth of his daughter, Vincente retired to the small town of Cold Spring, New York. But small town life did not agree with Luisa—especially not once she started flying around the world to modelling gigs with her mother. Bored by the slow pace of life, Luisa became something of a wild child, getting into as much mischief and misadventure as she could, and causing almost more trouble than the town could handle—but Vincente was always quick to swoop in and smooth over any issues with an open checkbook and a donation to help out the city. Eventually, Luisa found herself sent off to a Swiss boarding school, though that did little to curb her lust for excitement and misbehavior.
After graduation, Luisa had zero interest in college. She received plenty of offers for modelling, many of which she took up. But modelling only spoke to one of Luisa’s two passions in life: being the center of attention. Her other passion? Humiliating anyone who might try to stand in her way, and ruining their life. For that, there was only one option: professional wrestling.
Campos threw herself into training, and once she was deemed ring ready, Luisa set about crafting a persona for herself—rich girl from small town New York did NOT have sufficient sizzle, in her eyes. Instead, she began to present herself as a rich jet setter from Brazil, who has traveled the world and conquered everywhere she has been.
Two years into her career, Luisa’s path crossed with the career path of Marisol Ayala. And surprisingly, the two self-styled alpha bitches bonded almost immediately, seeing in each other kindred spirits. The two elected to form a tag team, with Marisol’s strength and power complimenting Luisa’s all-around game.
As mentioned earlier, Luisa LOVES the spotlight and craves all eyes being upon her. Her playgirl persona dials her natural confidence and arrogance up to 11, and she will flirt with anything with legs, to screw with the crowd’s head.
