BACKGROUND:
The Soviet Union may have collapsed in 1991, but as recent events have demonstrated, not ALL of its ways perished…
At the time of its demise, Alexei Koslov headed one of the USSR’s prime athletic development programs, tasked with training its competitors for international competition—and he continued to train athletes even after that, with the help of some wealthy financiers. Eventually, this would include his first born daughter, Kira—who would also eventually become his only pupil. As she became his sole focus, Alexei aimed to transform Kira into what he termed “the ultimate athlete.” Some might even say he succeeded, as Kira managed to earn places on the Russian Olympic team in 2008 for gymnastics, 2010 for figure skating, and 2012 for swimming.
She *earned places* on those teams. On all three occasions, she declined them. As much as Alexei believed in Russian athletic superiority, Kira felt a sense of disgust toward the country, for letting her father down with the dissolution of the Soviet Union. But as times changed, and as government intentions became clearer, those attitudes softened. And soon, Kira, Alexie and the Kremlin all settled on a grander course of action for Koslova. Transitioning to wrestling, she made her in-ring debut in 2014 and, inside of two years, she was dominating the European circuit… and drawing attention from the west.
Kira likes to think of herself as an assassin, calm, collected, dispassionate. But the longer a match transpires, the more that mask can sometimes slip, and the more tempers sometimes flare. She considers herself the total package in the ring, possessing impressive strength for her size, excellent quickness and agility, good flexibility and exceptional conditioning and stamina. She is cold and aloof, for she knows that failure is neither a possibility nor an option.
