Description: Wrestling has been Rosa's life. Her parents wrestled. Her grandfather wrestled. Her great-grandfather wrestled in the sideshow circuit. Her childhood involved weekends and summers traveling with her parents to the territories. She knew wrestling would be her life and, truthfully, her parents assumed the same. Wrestling was her world. Wrestlers were her family. The children of other wrestlers were her only playmates.
One of those playmates was a boy named Kit. Rosa and Kit went from best childhood friends to teen sweethearts. It was adorable to everyone until, when she was fifteen, Rosa learned she was pregnant. There was no question who the father was. Kit stepped up, married Rosa and the two learned the struggle of being teen parents, although their families more than supported them. Rosa's parents insisted the two finish high school and consider college. But Rosa and Kit were children of the squared circle, and instead they pursued the family business while raising a little girl named Makki.
Each took time off while the other worked on their career so their daughter would always have someone at home with her. But the most success Rosa and Kit had was when they worked the ring together, either as partners or in a wrestler/manager relationship. And they did well and the path ahead looked bright. But Kit took ill one day and never recovered. At only twenty-five, Rosa was a widow with a child. Wrestling took a backseat, although it never really went away. Major feds came calling but the offers would come at the expense of Makki so Rosa always said no.
But when Makki showed interest in the family business β as well as skill β things changed. Rosa had a partner again and, more importantly, could monitor and mentor her daughter. Rosa's older now, and perhaps a bit jaded, but she likes to think she can over grounding to her head-in-the-clouds daughter.
