Background:
There’s little known about Vlada Victrovich outside of her native Latveria. What is known is that she was a member of the Latverian Women’s Basketball Team who was drafted into the WNBA but unable to play due to visa complications. Because Latveria is one of the most reclusive nations on Earth, and because its government blocks TV and internet, when her international basketball career ended she was almost never seen again by people outside the country. It’s believed that once back in Latveria she took up wrestling as a profession and soon rose to prominence in the women’s scene. Though very little footage of her matches exists, what can be found on Youtube is grainy video of brutal contests depicting Vlada absolutely demolishing other women with ease.
When Vlada did resurface in the west she was being managed by Claire Cotswold, the daughter of one of New York’s most prominent real estate developers and a lifelong admirer of wrestling. How Vlada came to be in Claire’s employ is a mystery. Some say Claire purchased her contract from a Latverian promoter. Others believe Claire purchased Vlada from her family, or perhaps even from the Latverian government. Claire was able to secure Vlada a visa as a wrestler and now has brought her to FAWN for nefarious reasons only she completely knows.
While Vlada is a truly powerful and destructive force in the ring, one gets the feeling that to her fighting is more an avocation than a passion. She also seems not totally committed to her manager Claire’s dastardly plans, and often demure at performing when instructed. She claims to speak no English but clearly understands it when spoken to her. Mostly Vlada is a mystery. A shadowy woman from a shadowy nation, her motives for being in the USA are not completely known…and only time will tell what she truly intends.
