Background
Bright eyed and bushy tailed, Summer is none the less more inherently timid than her elder sibling, more at home with her studies and with her books than the outgoing, adventurous Cassie Hopkins. As the baby bear of the family, the future ‘Supergirl of Sheffield’ was more accustomed to utilising her noggin than her fists, earning a long list of accolades in academics and the collective pride of her clan.
Settling into a life at College and, before long, University, Summer earned early success in her chosen field. Her first published novel, ‘Jaime Justice: Storm of Avalon’, garnering the would be budding Author some modest acclaim. All the while her studies were accompanied by a healthy lifestyle and frequent athletics, encouraged by her eldest sibling whom she frequently accompanied to the gym whenever schedules allowed.
Unbeknownst to her family, however, Summer’s finances were not as secure as she was leading them to believe, and before she knew it the youngest Hopkins was struggling to find two pennies to run together. This, combined with an itch that refused to be scratched after a lifetime of watching her sibling compete, lead to the young women enrolling at the small Wrestling Academy of the legendary Rick ‘Golden Goliath’ Sinclair, the retired veteran showing Hopkins the ropes and, spotting potential, arranged several independent matches on her behalf in order to earn a little extra coin.
Gripped by an extremely romanticised vision of the sport, it wasn’t long before the progress of the ‘Supergirl of Sheffield’, and her last name, were spotted by others...
