Description:
Lucy Harker and Mina Murray have been friends since, well, since they realized there wasn’t a single other person walking this planet they could even sort of tolerate. Brought up in perfectly respectable middle class families, they were never wanting for anything, yet often found themselves in the grip of ennui so severe it might have been problematic if they weren’t so diabolically creative. Not long after they reached High School, Harker and Murray came to understand that the only way to relieve their own boredom was to make the lives of everyone around them more interesting. Unfortunately for their classmates, this meant a steady stream of gossip, rumor and innuendo that had individual friendships, not to mention entire cliques breaking up and reforming in clever new ways, all for the amusement of the callous blonde pair. Hell, the atmosphere of the entire school could change week to week, day to day, even hour to hour -- it was all dependent on just how benevolent or malevolent they were feeling at the time.
High School ended as it is known to do and after graduation, Lucy and Mina were both accepted to USC on scholarships (Harker for Track & Field, Murray for Soccer) and it wasn’t very long until they were trying out their puppet mastery on a whole new group of sheeple. It was only after they’d successfully undermined all of Sorority Row did the pair realize that the thrill was slowly but surely leaking out of their manipulative pastime. Desperate for a new outlet, the friends happened to come across an underground catfighting league on campus and with nothing better to do, they signed on for a Tag Team bout. Not surprisingly, they turned out to be damned good at it. Despite a complete lack of training, Lucy and Mina destroyed their first opponents, taking special delight in humiliating the hapless opposition with a variety of stylish double team maneuvers. As they paraded over the beaten wreckage of their foes, some nameless voice in the audience cried out ‘THAT WAS SCANDALOUS’ and just like that, a team was born.
Falling in love with the combination of physical and mental torment they could unleash on anyone with the temerity to be ‘boring’, Lucy and Mina delved into catfighting and soon began training at a local pro-style school to further progress their technique. Before long they were working small indy shows on the weekend and while they didn’t win all their matches, they always managed to steal the show out from under whoever might have been main eventing that particular evening. One night, after they’d almost caused a riot by demolishing a pair of beloved local babyfaces, the SCANDALOUS girls were approached by a FAWN talent scout and offered developmental contracts. They accepted, but it didn’t take long for them to get the ‘developmental’ part stricken from the deal. Now Lucy Harker and Mina Murray are on their way to the big show and for better or for worse, the Tag Team division will never be boring again.
