CAROL COURAGE
AMANDA DARK
CARLA CRASH
…Carol Courage was on fire, which was a bad place to be for career rival, Amanda Dark to be!!
Despite nearly two decades of experience locking horns with the All-American Heroine across every continent on the globe, the Mother of Midnight had not been prepared for Carol this evening. Her fellow veteran had just spent the last ten to fifteen minutes knocking her from pillar to post during what many were considering to be an in ring, career resonance for Courage, whilst Dark was re-experiencing each and every one of the double shots she had downed the night previous.
Despite Amanda’s very best, and persistent efforts to slow the match down to a crawl, Carol was having none of it, the Thirty-Something year old grappler steamrolling all efforts to sandbag her offensive, even the surly presence of Dark’s protégé, Carla Crash, outside the ring was proving to be of little help. Case in point, her attempt to dig in her heels was simply overpowered as Courage pivoted on the spot and yanked on her foes arm, launching her fellow, Hardbody brunette into an involuntary sprint by way of Irish Whip.
Amanda took off across the canvas at a pace she rarely summoned on her own and, turning at the last moment, she slammed backwards against the turnbuckles across her shoulders. She grunted with a pained growl as, bucking in recoil, she stumbled forwards out of the corner and, with the Cavalry in full voice across the arena, Carol was there to collect her, muscling the shaken Dark to lay up and across her shoulders in a Fireman’s Carry.
Cargo secured, the Woman of Wonder paced towards centre ring and, knowing damn well what was to follow, a grimacing and pained Amanda began hammering wild elbows against her opponent’s temples. The strikes didn’t quite connect as solidly as she would have preferred, but it was enough to loosen Courage’s grip and, the moment she secured some wiggle room, the Storm Reaper shoved her way free from her perch and dropped down to the canvas out the back door.
Amanda stumbled the moment her boot leather returned to the deck, back peddling a few paces before being able to zero back in on Carol’s sudden blindside…
…only to find that her opening had been as fleeting as her chances, the sapphire clad destroyer not missing a single step as she turned about in time to meet the advancing and unstable Dark head on. Catching her fellow brunette around the back of her thighs, Courage swept Amanda’s boots up off the deck, spun around on the spot one eighty before Earths Mightiest Mortal PLANTED!! the Only Real Deal back first against the canvas with a beautiful Spinebuster!!

With the ring rattling, Dark bucked sharply in a painful looking arch before she slumped back down onto the deck, grimacing as she inhaled deep, greedy and winded breaths.
The FAWNatics were in full voice as Carol dropped down atop her career rival and hooked her right stem, rolling her up into a pinfall.
The Official dropped down to the mat a moment later, counting…
ONE!
TWO!!
THRE…
Amanda shoved up her shoulder, prideful to her core even with her head reeling with nausea. She made no further effort to get up, nor did she resist as Courage, somewhat reluctantly, snagged her by her wrist and bodied her opponent back up to vertical. She didn’t force Dark to remain upright under her own power for long, Carol instead muscling her fellow Hardbody athlete to lay back up across her shoulders in a Fireman’s Carry, locking her in place as Amanda offered her no further protest.
“Dark, I don’t know what’s going on with you right now, but do yourself a favour,” Carol advised, not unkindly. “Stay down.”
The Cavalry were enrapt as Courage braced her posture and prepared to…
WHACK!!
…The FAWNatics erupted with protests as Crash dove into the ring with a steel chair and CRACKED the folded furniture across Carol’s exposed back!! Ambushed, the brunette cried out as she dropped Dark back down to the deck as she stumbled forwards, wincing as she dropped down to one knee, reeling from the vindictive assault.
The Official immediately called for the bell, bringing an end to the contest.
“Ladies and Gentlemen,” the Announcer cut in through the din of the crowd’s boos, Crash tossing aside her dented weapon and moving in on the penitent athlete that she had just blindsided. “The winner of this contest by Disqualification, CAROL! COURAGE!!”
The delivery of the news was bitter sweet for the Cavalry, even with…

…. returning to the loud speakers, being as the Hollywood Hooligan was clearly in full control of the squared circle. With the All-American Athlete still down on one knee, Carla grabbed the crowd favourite by the back of her head and began bullying her back towards vertical.
“Hear that, Courage?” Crash condescended. “You’re a real winner.”
Slotting her right arm beneath Carol’s shoulder, she secured one underhook…
…only for the Woman of Wonder to surge dramatically back to life, the veteran of a thousand come backs powering a panicked Carla up off her boots and muscling her to lay atop her shoulders in a Fireman’s Carry. The crowd popped as, without missing a beat, Courage braced herself, inhaled a deep breath and then SHOVED on Crash’s legs to send her lower body to spinning out high up over the abyss, Carol DROPPING to the canvas a second later and PLANTING the Boulevard Bytch into the plywood face first with thunderous force!!

Almost immediately, Carla fell limp after a sharp spasm ran the length of her physique and she bounced several inches into the air. She lay in a shellshocked stupor, eyes half lidded and twitching, the Hardcore Hellcat learning a harsh lesson during her first contact with Earth’s Mightiest Mortal.
“Well,” Carol shook her head slowly as she sat back up, actually answering Crash’s question whilst cradling the small of her back. “You’re not wrong.”
Inhaling a renewed, deep breath, Courage got back up to her feet with the support of the FAWNatics, making her way over to one corner and ascending her way up to the middle turnbuckles. She thrust out her arms in salute to the crowd, who answered her with approval, and Carol spotted a rueful Dark leaving her would be protégé behind and rolling out of the ring.
They had known each other a long time and, as the two veterans who had clashed the world over shared a look, she doubted that this was the end of it…
