Exclusive footage from a FAWN house show in Atlanta, two weeks ago…
The fans were still trickling back from intermission when ‘Mess Around’ hit the speakers. Macy Renquist appeared shortly thereafter, the Slappin’ Sensation brushed through the curtain and made her way to the ring sans any sort of introduction.
MACY RENQUIST:
Dressed in a short black skirt and her new ‘Slap, Crackle, Pop!’ tee-shirt, Macy zigged and zagged to swat the palms extended in her direction but otherwise wasted little time making her way to the squared circle. Electing to dive under the bottom rope rather than take the steps, Renquist popped up and strolled to the other side so she could claim a microphone from a nearby tech.
“I’ll make this quick.” Macy told the crowd once her music faded. “Heartbroken is coming up and now that I’ve slapped my way through a few cuts of choice bikini meat, I think it’s time I got another shot at the chick who’s held the Lightweight Division in a sweaty little stranglehold.”
The Beach Blaster swung to face the ramp as the FAWNatics roared in anticipation. “ESTRINA STARFIRE! I knocked you out, you choked me out. Far as I’m concerned, that means we’ve got unfinished business. So why don’t you come down here and--
Mountain Song roared to life, bringing the Stargazers to their feet in a single stroke. Their fervor only increased when the Lightweight Champ appeared on stage wearing jeans and her ’Pits of Starfire’ tube-top, though these sartorial details took a backseat to the ten pounds of leather and gold snapped tight around her waist.
ESTRINA STARFIRE:
Holding the high ground long enough to salute her fans, the Celestial Stunner soon turned her attention to the waiting blonde and started down the aisle. Following a quick circuit of ringside to pose with all her fans, the slim brunette grabbed a mic of her own and ascended the steel steps. Slipping through the ropes, she strolled over to Renquist and said, “The last time you were in the ring, you asked if I was thinking of you. And here you stand today, talking about unfinished business and how you deserve another shot at my title…”
Estrina trailed off, reached back and undid the snaps on the title so she could raise it overhead one handed. “Far as I’m concerned, we finished at ‘Mania. You remember what happened there, right? You lost, darling!”
Macy scowled, shaking her head in disgust at the memory. "Yeah, I did lose. But as far as I'm concerned that just means we're tied one win a piece. That doesn't make you better, Estrina. It makes ME the only woman in the division with a legitimate claim for another shot at this..." she reached out and tapped an index finger against the title's golden faceplate. "...of course, if you don't think you can beat me again, I understand why you wouldn't want to put the title on the line."
Estrina scoffed, "Well, you do make a valid point, Macy. But I wonder what they think?”
The Lightweight Champ hoisted her mic in the air and the crowd screamed in approval for a third match between The Slappin' Sensation and The Celestial Stunner. "Well, looks like we have our answer." Estrina grinned. "Let's do it! You and me! One more time!" Starfire declared her acceptance while Macy smiled in response. "But let's make this interesting...", Estrina interrupted the crowds cheer. "....let's make it a best out of three falls match!"
More noise from the crowd, their chant of ‘ES-TREE-NA!’ earning an appreciative nod from the brunette. "YOU WANT THIS?" Starfire held the belt directly under Macy’s chin as she proclaimed, “YOU GOTTA SWEAT, BABY!"
Renquist didn't hesitate, she only raised the mic to her lips and said, "I accept. You better bring a broom along with your towel, sweaty. Because I'm going to sweep your ass at Heartbroken. When I do there'll be no doubt that I'm the best Lightweight on this roster... and you're just a sweaty loser." Macy dropped the mic and stepped forward, the blonde brazenly chesting into her opponent.
Estrina bumped back, not allowing the blonde to shove her as she raised her title in her arm. "I hope you remember how I pitted you out! Because at Heartbroken you’re going back two more times!” Starfire snarled and positioned her armpit near Macy's face. "I hope you look at this belt clearly now. This is as close as you can get to the title!"
Macy went nose to nose with the champion, ignoring the golden prize in favor of staring a hole through Starfire. "Gonna slap you out, girl. Gonna make you cry before I take that title. But don't worry. After it's mine, I'll strap it around my waist, then sit on that sweaty little face so you can take one last look!"
"Take your best shot Macy!" Estrina snarled and forcefully shoved the challenger away. "At the end, I will be buffing your face with my pit sweat!"
Renquist made a show of rearing back for a slap, but rather than deliver she raised her other arm and trailed a few fingers beneath. They came away dry, but that didn't stop the Beach Blaster from 'flicking' an invisible mist in Starfire's direction. "Get ready, baby. It'll be worse at Heartbroken." With that she spun around and made her way toward the ropes.
Estrina chuckled. "What a cheap imitation. I will show you the real deal at Heartbroken. I will."
Macy stopped on the other side of the apron. "Big talk now, sweaty. Can't wait to hear how small you sound after I've beaten you twice on the same night." She blew the champ a kiss, hopped off her perch and strode up the aisle.
