Description:
Despite being born with the surname Silence, Stephanie learned from an early age that she had been
gifted with a stepping stone that would help her no end in her pursuit of a career in professional
wrestling. She was the niece of the legendary Rick ‘Golden Goliath’ Sinclair, a name that carried
significant weight with both fans and promotions worldwide.
Upon learning that his only Niece (and none of his Nephews, who all opted for mundane careers), was
looking to enter the family trade, he prompted that the teen should join him overseas and train under his
guidance at his gym alongside her cousin, Samantha Sinclair, who was five years her junior. Despite
being genuinely thankful for the offer, she turned it down, the young woman determined to make her
way under her own merits, and not due to her relations to others.
And that was what she set out to do, Stephanie learning her trade from the instructors she could afford,
and beginning at the very bottom. Stephanie worked hard, she fought hard, knuckling down and
grafting with more determination than any other five girls in the same position put together. She
repeatedly rebuffed offers to promote her as her Uncles legacy, refusing to rebrand her image and proud
of her own, direct heritage. Her name was Silence, and people would remember her for it.
Stephanie deserved to be successful.
She wasn’t.
Regardless of the sacrifices she made, Stephanie found it near impossible to progress, and as the years
passed, optimism eroded steadily into cynicism, hope became despair, and all of it was reflected on the
mat. Stephanie became needlessly vindictive, punishing her opponents far more than necessary, and
the bitterness that fuelled her now only increased further the day her younger cousin, swiftly christened
the People’s Princess, surpassed her own career within a few months of debuting, the fireplug every
inch her Fathers Daughter.
Stephanie snapped, leading a one woman hell raising vendetta against the ranks of her own promotion,
leaving a trail of beloved FACE competitors battered and defeated in her wake. The Lightweight
Champion, Michelle Magnus, a young woman tipped for a prodigious career called her out, determined
to end her rampage.
The conflict would prove to be a turning point in Stephanie’s life, finally faced with the very real
possibility of success, and the opportunity to win that oh so precious Gold on her own merits, on her
own name. She won, she had everything she wanted, and in her rage, in her self centred, self obsessed
fury, she spitefully broke the leg of Michelle Magnus, and she did so with satisfaction.
For at least a moment.
In the cold light of day, and as news arrived that Michelle would never wrestle again, that she would
need a cane for the rest of her natural life, she was horrified by what she had done, and utterly
disgusted by what she had allowed herself to become. Loathing the young woman that now looked
back her from the mirror, and sickened by the weight of the Gold that she now carried, understanding
what it had cost not only to her, but to those she had vindictively harmed, she stripped herself of the
Belt and left the promotion in shame.
Stephanie spent a year in seclusion, coming to terms with herself and how far she had fallen, and
vowing to learn from it as best she could. After turning down several offers, she finally accepted an
offer from FAWN, returning to the ring she feels she has dishonoured in search of redemption.
