Hello, I recently discovered FAWN and I'm catching up with the fawnhistory website. I'm starting with the Kylie Sander/Emily West feud and I'm missing a piece of the story. In their 2008 fight, after their beach party battle a restaurant scene is mentioned where they learn about each other, does anyone have a link to this?
Also:
I Keep seeing mentions of a WOLF organization, is this separate set of stories?
I saw a mention of a interviewer named Tracey Michaels, is this based off a real person or purely a npc to move the story along?
Any help is appreaciated
Thank You

Hey there,
First off, welcome to the cabinet of curiosities that is FAWN, hope you're enjoying yourself.
Turning to the Sanders / West arc, I'm trying to think of the out of ring pieces and a couple are coming to mind...
* Before match 2 they run into each other at Stardust Video * The meet up outside a church shortly before match 3
I can't think of one that took place in a restaurant and nothing in my personal archive is jogging a memory either. It's POSSIBLE it's one of those things that gets referred to but was never actually written about. That said, if you could copy / paste the line in question in a response it might knock something loose. Hawkeye might remember too, as we were both knocking out a lot of material for those stories.
As for WOLF, it was first designed as a sort of alternative to FAWN (if FAWN was WWE, then WOLF was ECW) and it featured names like Becky Clayton, Eliza Bliss, Emily West, Susan Burlingame, Eve Choldstone, Jenny Jacobs and Sydney Deschain. In practice it really didn't last all that long and when there was a serious lull in FAWN participation around... 2007, I think, the two organizations were merged when Anciline de Cyr joined forces with WOLF owner Edward Wayne Thomas to buy FAWN. These days Anci and Bethany Christian handle most of the day to day stuff, while EWT shows up from time to time, usually to help resolve a blood feud or make things even worse by booking some outlandish gimmick. (I don't think any of the WOLF stories have survived, at least not collected in one place)
Turning to Tracey Michaels, she was definitely an NPC, but she might've been based on someone, not that I have any idea who. One of the other long timers might know.
Have a good one,
~rf

Thanks for clearing that up, really appreciate it. In case it helps this the excerpt that references the restaurant:
When the bell rang there was no hesitation from either woman and why should there be? Kylie Sanders and Emily West had spent the better part of a year testing one another’s mental and physical limits and while their encounter in the restaurant last night proved they didn’t know the other quite as well as they thought, blonde and brunette still knew more than enough to wade right into the fray. Infinitely aware of the roar of the crowd, the lightweight stars moved out of their corners in a confident sort of stalk that transformed into an anticipatory crouch as they drew closer together.
If you don't mind me doing a little noob analysis: I'm up to the beginning of the superfriends in the Kylie Sanders match list, and comparing that to the heel she is now; if emily west wants kylie to turn face again, she needs "Love". West mind fucks did more harm than good, and Cosette was an inspiring force for Sanders for when they were friends. West could beat Kylie in a "loser becomes winners slave" match and either force her to go on a series of "Dates" with wrestler she'd consider good influences or what the hell maybe West throws her hat in the ring(a la Miriam Gaiman). Again I'm a new to the fandom I just really love what I'm reading.

Good morning,
Will have to save a longer response for later, when I'm not so pressed for time. That said, an idea crossed my mind right after waking up and damned if I wasn't able to find the restaurant piece you were looking for tucked away inside a file of Emily West promos that is, I shit you not, no less than 50 pages long. Anyhoo, it's included below. Hope you enjoy...

****** One did not normally associate the idea of fine French cuisine with a city like Orlando Florida, but when the fed had relocated to America’s Mecca of Tourism, Cosette LeBlanc had set to work in finding a good, proper taste of home. After many dead ends, she happened upon Le Coq au Vin and was instantly smitten with the place. Bigger than a hole in the wall, but well off the tourist track, Cozy came to the restaurant whenever she was feeling homesick for Nice or had something important on her mind. This evening, it was the latter, and her dining companion, none other than the Lightweight Champion Kylie Sanders, was well aware that her friend had a burden, she just wasn’t sure what it was.
But Kylie was determined to find out and soon as the waiter left with their drink orders, the blonde began to ask, only to have the Maitre’ d appear from nowhere and quietly announce, “Your second guest Ms. LeBlanc.”
The tuxedoed gentleman stepped aside and Kylie had to bite off a low growl as she spied Emily West in a simple yet elegant crimson dress. To her credit, the brunette looked just as surprised to see Sanders, but before the rivals could get a word in, Cosette murmured, “Merci bien.” to the Maitre’ d, then turned her attention to blonde and brunette. Speaking with much more authority than either of them was used to hearing, the petite brunette stunner said, “Please zeet down Ema-lee. Neezer of you are going anywhere until I geeve you leeve to do zo.”
Flicking her gaze in the Frenchwoman’s direction, West nodded once, then sat down. “Very well Cosette. But tread carefully, you’re walking on dangerous ground.”
Refusing to acknowledge the fact that she was actually agreeing with Emily, Kylie settled for asking, “Why are you doing this Cozy? If you think…”
LeBlanc interrupted her friend (a first as far as she knew) with, “I theenk you both would do well to be zilent and let me zpeak…” She paused to treat each with a cool, measuring glance before continuing. “Over zee lazt zeveral months, I ‘ave watched you both zay and do terrible theengs to one another out of nothing more zan ztoopid, peeg’eaded pride. After almost a year, I’ve ‘ad enough. I brought you ‘ere tonight to zay one thing. Eezer learn to coexist…. or I’ll cut ties with zee both of you. I hate to abandon my friends, but neezer of you ‘ave been acting very much like my old friends and I will not associate with monsters.”
There was silence then, Emily reacting to the ultimatum with an incredulous frown while Kylie looked like she’d just been slapped upside the head. After another moment, the Pleasant Valley Princess tried to explain, “It’s not that easy Coz…”
LeBlanc leaned forward in her chair, fire in her dark eyes. “It EES! It ees VERY eazy! All you ‘ave to do is leezten to zat voice inside you, the one I KNOW you’ve been ‘earing, zee one telling you to pull back. And if you won’t leezen to your own voice, leezen to ‘ers.” Cosette turned the intensity of her gaze to West and demanded, “Tell ‘er what you deed Ema-lee. What WE deed.”
Taken aback by this change in her normally mild-mannered friend, Emily regained her composure and said, “She doesn’t care Cosette. Kylie has a long history of questioning my motives.”
But Cozy wasn’t going to back down either. “Why don’t you let ‘er be zee judge of that? And if you won’t tell ‘er, I will. I was there, az you may recall.”
Emily fetched a deep sigh, took a sip of her water, then locked eyes with Kylie. After about five seconds of expensive restaurant quality quiet, she explained, “Eliza’s hairclip… I…. altered it…. made sure it wouldn’t work if she tried to use it as a weapon. Cosette can corroborate, as she said, she was there. Character witness and all.”
Sanders sat back in her chair, stunned by the revelation. Suddenly the mysterious disintegration of Bliss’ weapon of choice made perfect sense. The only thing she didn’t know was, “Why? Why’d you do it? Did you need ONE MORE THING to hold over my head? So you could say, ‘Kylie owes me her whole reign?’”
The blonde might have gone on, but Emily cut that off with a snarling, “Oh get over yourself! I did it because I KNEW Eliza would try to cheat and I didn’t want that bitch getting away with bashing me in the head and throat. You won that match because I leveled the playing field, not because you had any magic advantage. And before you ask, no I don’t want a thank you, I’m long beyond expecting anything like gratitude or understanding from…”
“Thank you.” Kylie said it so quietly Emily thought she had imagined it.
Stopped dead in her figurative tracks, the brunette frowned at her blonde nemesis and asked, “What?” Leaning forward in her chair, Sanders eyes burned a hole through Emily as she explained, “I am NOT who you think I am. I’m not some master manipulator that got this far by pulling the wool over everyone eyes. I’m the kind of person who’s poured their heart, body and soul into this soul into this business and I got this far because…. I’m the kind of person who knows when to say thank you.”
Cozy kept silent, but in her mind the French Pixie was turning cartwheels, THERE was the Kylie Sanders she knew and loved. That was one half of the equation, now all that remained was… Clearing her throat, Cozy said, “Ema-lee? Do you ‘ave…”
“Would you leave us for a moment Cosette?” West asked. Le Blanc hesitated, but Kylie gave her a soft nod and the brunette left the table hoping against hope she wouldn’t hear the clatter-crash of breaking glass or the meaty ‘thwack’ of flesh against flesh in the next thirty seconds.
After LeBlanc took her leave, Emily studied Kylie’s face for quite some time before she said, “I don’t regret beating you with the Hemorrhage or smothering you out on the beach, much as I suspect you don’t regret decking me with the chair or choking me out to get the shot at Eliza. And that’s ok, I wouldn’t ask or even expect you to. When it comes to the two of us, there’s only one thing I regret. Do you know what that is?”
Understanding it would be better to let the brunette speak her mind, Kylie just shook her head ‘no’ and waited. “I regret, that in the course of our rivalry, I led you to believe I belonged in the same category as VanBuren, Gaiman, Daniel and Bates. As you mentioned, I am not who you think I am.”
Searching West’s face as intently as the brunette had studied hers, Sanders replied, “So…. how do we prove it?”
Emily’s expression didn’t brighten, but she did answer with a little more energy. Having a problem to solve always imbued her with purpose. “There’s a deep wound on both our psyche’s. When we step into the cage we can lance, clean and disinfect it. It will be an extremely painful process no doubt, but in the end…. I believe it will be worth it.”
Smiling for what seemed like the first time all evening, Kylie said, “You’re not going to take my title Emily. But you knew I was going to say that didn’t you?”
The Amazing Academic nodded and returned the smile. “I did. Just like you knew I would say “Yes I am.’ Kindred spirits aren’t always best friends.”
“And rivals aren’t always mortal enemies.”
West was about to say something else when Cozy returned and explained, “I beegan to worry when zere was no zhreeking and clawing. Is everytheeng all right?”
Sanders shook her head ‘no’. “Not at all…”
“But we’re working on it.” West finished.
Breathing a great sigh of relief, LeBlanc sat down and raised her glass. “A toast then. To progress.”
Kylie clinked her glass with her companions, then added, “And peacekeepers. Thanks for believing in me Cozy.”
“An echoable sentiment indeed.” Emily confirmed.
Smiling, Cozy told them, “I’m pleezed to call you both my friends. But you do realize, whoever weens tomorrow, I will waste no time in, ‘ow do you zay it, calling you out?”
Stifling a laugh, Kylie said, “I think I can safely speak for Emily when I say, bring it on Cozy, bring it on.”
A moment later, the waiter showed up with a bottle of honest to god Champagne (Cozy didn’t settle for that ‘sparkling wine’ shit) and while the tension didn’t between Sanders and West didn’t exactly evaporate, the looming shadow of the steel cage didn’t figure into the rest of their meal at all.

Hello again,
First off, glad to help and I'm pleased to know you're enjoying the material.
To answer your question, the availability of promo / 'out of ring' material is kind of hit or miss, depending on when it was originally posted. If it's within the last few years (since we moved over to Free Forums) there's a good chance that it's been added to the archive or that it's still here on the board. Earlier than that and it can be a coin toss. As far as the Em / Kylie arc is concerned, I've also uncovered Kylie's dream sequence at Reichenbach Falls and then a piece with Emily and Cozy that takes place before Ky's Lightweight Title Match with Eliza. Not sure if those pieces are in the archive at the moment, but if they aren't and you want to see them, just drop me a line here or I can send them to you via e-mail.
Peace for now,
~RF
