The proceedings were recorded by the legal teams, but somehow a leaked copy made it to the FAWN forums. Rumors were a flash drive containing the video was found by Bethany Christian on her desk and since the contents directly affect FAWN she decided it would be worth the legal battle to keep it up on the company web site.
The Video Evidence…
The camera is set up on the end of the long table, on the left sits Rachel Raker. The FAWN wrestler is dressed for her day job, looking every bit the lawyer, making it hard to believe she’s the same woman that slips through the ring ropes.
The lead litigator of VB&A goes through a stack of papers in front of her, not looking at the people on the other side of the table. But one of them, a man in an Armani suit, flips through a stack of papers equal to Raker’s. Beside him sits Gretchen Vaughn, She wears a simple dress, dark blue and low cut to show off her assets.
The door bangs open and in walks Portia Ophelia Van Buren IV, Baby’s dress looking more appropriate for a night of clubbing than a legal proceeding. Gretchen starts to stand, but her lawyer puts a hand on her forearm. Remembering where she is, the soon to be Ex Trophy Wife snarls, “What’s she doing here?”
Portia, taking the seat across from her step-mom, smirks. “I am the senior partner of the firm.”
Gretchen starts to complain again, but her lawyer interrupts.
“Miss Van Buren, you are not a lawyer and not an interested party. You should not be here.”
Rachel interrupts, handing a letter to her legal opponent.
“We have decided to challenge the pre-nup signed by our client and yours.”
The man takes the paper readying quickly. Dropping it, he looks at Raker.
“You cannot be serious? This is a fabrication and perversion of the law.”
Rachel shrugs. “We assert that your Client Miss Vaughn did physically and sexually abuse our client’s daughter causing him and her great emotional distress.”
The man blushes. “Yes, but they are grown women and both under contract with FAWN. That makes your claim null and void.”
Gretchen blurts out, “What the Fuck!?”
A smiling Portia answers. “You’ll never see any of Daddy’s money. You were a horrible wife and step mother.”
The man keeps Gretchen from answering and from getting up and going over to Portia.
“This is a ploy,” Gretchen’s counsel says. “It will never work. I thought your time in prison might have made you a better lawyer, Rachel.”
Raker gives the man a cold glare. “It will work, even if Gretchen gets her money in the end. She’ll only be able to spend it at Bingo Night at some home for old sluts. The Van Burens took this woman in and she betrayed them. Never did she show any remorse for driving a wedge between and Father and his only Daughter.”
Gretchen’s lawyer shakes his head. “This won’t take that long, twenty four to thirty months is all. Then Miss Vaughn will have 25% of your father’s wealth, as agreed.”
Rachel produces another paper, handing it over.
“Perhaps, but you can start your clock in twelve months as my client will be unavailable for anything prior to that. Mr. Van Buren will be out of the country on business for that length of time and we cannot continue with any proceeding until his return.”
Flipping to the last page of the document, the man groans. Rachel gives a small smirk, “Yes, it is signed by a Federal Judge.”
Gretchen, used to seeing when her partner needs a tag, steps in, her lawyer looking dejected.
“I’m not waiting years to get my money,” Gretchen insists.
Portia smiles. “You don’t have a choice.”
The brunette focuses on her step-daughter. “You and me, one match, winner takes all.”
Rachel answers before Baby can speak up. “This isn’t the school yard Gretchen, we’ve laid out our position we are not willing to negotiate at this time.”
Portia grinning from ear to ear, has a different response. “You’re on!”
Raker holds up a hand, “No wait. Allow me to discuss this with my Senior Partner.”
The Associates get up from the table and step outside the room. Gretchen and her lawyer talk quietly the man obviously not liking the plan any more than Rachel. Vaughn can be heard saying several times, “That money is mine.”
Then shouting can be heard from outside, though what is said cannot be made out. After a moment there is silence. The door opens and Rachel and Portia walk back in the room. Taking their seats, Portia speaks for the legal team. “One match, you and me, and after I beat your ass you sign the papers giving up all claim to Daddy’s money.”
Gretchen nods and adds “When I beat you twenty-five percent of Lyle’s wealth is transferred to my account, immediately!”
Her lawyer hands over the paperwork. “This is the amount we determine that will be my client’s sum of the pre-nuptial agreement.”
Rachel takes it and nods.
Gretchen gets up and starts toward the door, her lawyer scrambling to catch up, scooping papers into his briefcase. The soon to be Ex-Gold Digger turns, “I’m sure Bethany will be able to fit us on this coming pay-per-view. I’ll make the arrangements.”
As Gretchen opens the door, Lyle VanBuren comes down the hallway. The husband and wife glare at each other. Lyle asking, “Leaving already?”
Gretchen looks over her shoulder, “We’ve come to an arrangement. I’ll see you at the arena.”
Lyle looks confused as Gretchen leaves. He turns to his daughter and her Lead Counsel.
“What is she talking about?”
The video ends there.
