BACKGROUND:
Georgie Lawson never set out to be a wrestler. Instead, from the age of 3 she had been an actress. She
started out in commercials, moved on to appearances in television and film before landing her biggest
break as a series regular—in a show set around professional wrestling.
Georgie was cast in the role of Ms. Beatrice (Bea) Haven, a plucky rookie from small-town America
and the darling of audiences everywhere. Bea would win crowds over with her spirit, enthusiasm and
undeniable charm. In short, the character was 180 degrees from herself.
In everyday life, Georgie could charitably be described as a spoiled brat. “Evil with a capital E”, as one
fellow actress once dubbed her. She’s never had to work a “real job” a day in her life, never had to
attend a “real” school while being tutored on numerous sets and has essentially never wanted for
anything in life.
That’s not to say that she’s lazy—Georgie has always had the reputation of being “extremely
professional”, always knowing her lines and hitting her marks on-set and diligently preparing for her
roles—both mentally and physically.
From the moment she received the pilot script, Georgie fell in love with the show—and having spent
years learning dance and gymnastics, Lawson took to the stunt work for the show especially.
Unfortunately, not enough of America shared her love for the project. Following a lukewarm start, the
Nielsen figures never managed to reach the network’s expectations, and at the end of one season, the
plug was pulled.
But by this point, Georgie had been bitten by the bug.
In a surprising movie, Lawson’s agent announced that she was putting her acting career on hold to
instead become a professional wrestler, having signed a contract to work a show at an independent
promotion in Washington state. In her mind, Georgie was certain the real-world fans would love her the
way the audience for her show loved Bea. And certainly, some did. But the purists viewed her a sort of
“carpetbagger”—and that was nothing compared to the reaction Lawson received in the locker room.
Her first opponent, in fact, promised to make Georgie’s debut her FINAL match.
Unfortunately, she didn’t prove capable of making good on that pledge. Georgie beat her—what’s
more, Georgie EMBARRASSED her so severely, the promoter couldn’t find Lawson a second match
among his girls. But one member of the audience was the director of FAWN’s scouting department in
the northwest, and soon after Lawson was flown to Orlando for a try out.
FAWN contract now in hand, Georgie looks forward to performing under the bright lights of ladies
wrestling’s biggest stage—and taking out her anger over the wrestling world’s less-than-welcoming
embrace in front of as wide an audience as possible!
